There is something about Naperville that makes it popular with dog owners. Maybe it is the art community. Maybe it is the parks. Maybe it is the type of people that live there. Whatever the reason, Naperville has many dog friendly households. Yet even the best dogs – and the best dog owners – sometimes need some extra help with training.

As Naperville dog trainers, Marc Goldberg and his partners are available to teach you and your pet the skills you both need to be perfect members of the household. We offer several dog training programs, including doggy bootcamp, that take place at our Little Dog Farm to help you train your dog as thoroughly and effectively as possible. Contact Chicago Dog Trainer Marc Goldberg today to get started.

Why Contact a Naperville Dog Trainer?

It is in your dog’s nature to want to be a productive member of the pack. Dogs crave acceptance, love, praise, and positive attention. Your dog may have behavioral issues you want it to change, but dogs themselves always want to be accepted into the family with open arms. They want to change those behaviors for you, and they just need someone to show them how.

Dog training is what helps them get there. It shows them how to behave in a way that fits your household. Marc also utilizes a highly effective method of dog training that requires no force, no aggression, and limited use of treats, giving you lasting change that makes an immediate impact with your pet.

Benefits of Working with Marc Goldberg and His Team

Marc literally wrote the book on force-free dog training and has worked with dozens of Naperville families by teaching them the ForceFree method. It is the most effective way to train dogs in a way that builds lasting results. It is also designed to strengthen the bond between you and your pet and still lets your dog be a dog - something that makes dogs happier and stronger in the pack.

We have several dog training services for Naperville, IL families that are looking to improve their dog's behaviors and create stronger relationships with their dogs. These include:

  • Pack Leader Programs – Our Pack Leader program is our way of teaching both you and your pet how to behave as well as possible within the pack. It's to show you what you can do to assert yourself over your dog's behavior while still teaching your dog to be a dog. Marc and his partner Patrick will work directly with you and your pet to teach them specific behaviors according to your needs, and we'll show you how to continue to train on those behaviors in the future.
  • Boarding School Programs – If you want extra help for multiple behaviors, you may want to consider our boarding school programs, where you send your dog away for training and come pick up a well trained dog. We have three different boarding and bootcamp programs, with lengths that vary. 1 week programs are designed to get the ball rolling (metaphorically) and help begin training your dog. 2 week programs give you a well trained dog that we guarantee will behave well for the rest of their lives. Finally, our three week program is best for dogs with severe behavioral issues that need to be addressed, like anxiety and aggression. On the last day of all of these Naperville dog training programs, you receive training yourself and we show you how to continue to teach your dog at home during your spare time.

With our friendly dog trainers and your wonderful dog, we’ll make sure you have what you need to teach your dog the right behaviors – and to teach their owner as well.

Our Philosophy & Goals

Our philosophy is simple. Improve the life of both dog and family. All too often, unruly dogs do not fully enjoy life because their families constantly become upset and frustrated with them. This is difficult for both family and dog.

Our mission is simple. Make both dog and family happy.

What does is take to make your dog happy? He will thrive when you give him leadership and attention.

Making the family happy is a bit more complex.

Families typically want their dog to:

  • Come when called, every time, on or off leash
  • Walk nicely on a loose leash without pulling
  • Sit until released
  • Down until released

Families also want their dogs:

  • Not to jump on people
  • Not to charge through doors
  • Not to dig in the garden
  • Not to bark and chew  inappropriately
  • Not to climb on furniture you prefer they avoid
  • Not to sniff and eat off the table and counters.
  • Not to be wild and uncontrollable
  • Not to ignore you when you want their attention
