Sometimes, we through the word “aggressive” around too often when we talk about dogs. Dogs do not want to be aggressive. But trauma, fear, training, loneliness, and certain instincts can cause dogs to appear or act in aggressive ways.

In situations when a dog is acting aggressive towards family members, other dogs, or strangers, getting help not only keeps you safer – it often makes the dog happier as well. If you’re in need of aggressive dog training online or in person, please contact Marc Goldberg today, published co-author of several dog training books and a specialist in aggressive dog behaviors.

About Dog Aggression and Dog Training

There are some dogs that have historically been bred to display some aggressive traits, for activities like hunting, guarding a property, or offering protection to its owner. But in a general sense, dogs do are not typically naturally aggressive. Some dogs, like people, may be a bit more aggressive than others, but dogs are social animals. They want to be loved and cared for, and they want to express their love and care for others.

That often means that if your dog is showing aggression, whether it’s showing teeth, growling, or biting behaviors, your dog could use some additional help. Marc Goldberg and his team offer aggressive dog training through online video, giving you the same in-person sessions that you would receive at Marc’s “Little Dog Farm,” but from anywhere you might be located – not only in the United States, but all over the world.

Why would you want online dog training for aggression instead of in-person training

  • You get to learn from Marc directly. Marc is a trainer of trainers, and has trained hundreds of dog trainers around the world in addition to his published books on dog training with the Monks of New Skete.
  • Dog training is about you. Many people worry that virtual dog training won’t be as beneficial to the dog, but one thing to remember about all dog training is that it is not about the dog. It is about the person. You are their owner, and their alpha, so typically you are the one working with the dog and Marc is guiding you.
  • No Travel, Comfortable Environment – When you train a dog digitally, you don’t have to travel with your pet and you can train them somewhere they know and recognize. That is not only beneficial for keeping your dog calm and comfortable, but it also means that they are more likely to remember what they’ve learned because they are in the place where it was applied.

Overall, dog training online can be very effective. If you prefer in person lessons for your dog, you can also come visit us at our Little Dog Farm, but digital training via video allows owners to receive the help they need from anywhere they may be located, and that is immensely beneficial for those that want to receive training with Marc.

How Does a Dog Get Trained Out Of Dog Aggression?

Dog aggression is mostly a learned behavior. Some dogs are slightly more aggressive than others, but most dogs have learned aggression either by design, as a defense mechanism, or due to issues like mistakes by their owner (for example, some owners leave their dogs outside all day, or they punished their dog for showing teeth – both of these may have been done with good intentions, but could increase aggression). Some dogs are aggressive because they’re confused, bored, scared, and so much more.

Dog training addresses these in a wide variety of ways. It starts with an assessment of how and why your dog may be showing signs of aggression, building trust and a sense of safety with the pet, teaching basic obedience, and then integrating behavioral modification techniques that help your dog lose its aggressive tendencies while also still being a dog.

Our Philosophy & Goals

Our philosophy is simple. Improve the life of both dog and family. All too often, unruly dogs do not fully enjoy life because their families constantly become upset and frustrated with them. This is difficult for both family and dog.

Our mission is simple. Make both dog and family happy.

What does is take to make your dog happy? He will thrive when you give him leadership and attention.

Making the family happy is a bit more complex.

Families typically want their dog to:

  • Come when called, every time, on or off leash
  • Walk nicely on a loose leash without pulling
  • Sit until released
  • Down until released

Families also want their dogs:

  • Not to jump on people
  • Not to charge through doors
  • Not to dig in the garden
  • Not to bark and chew  inappropriately
  • Not to climb on furniture you prefer they avoid
  • Not to sniff and eat off the table and counters.
  • Not to be wild and uncontrollable
  • Not to ignore you when you want their attention
