Dog training is not always a simple process. Dogs are animals. They have behaviors that are great for animals but not necessarily right for inside of the home. But dogs also love humans. They love being part of a family, and they love knowing that there are others out there that care for them.
Marc Goldberg, along with his partner Patrick Farrell, helped create and popularize a dog training technique that builds upon the desire to please their family. Their technique, known as the "ForceFree Method," is used by dog trainers across the country. But Marc is based right here in the Chicago area. That means he is able to provide Winnetka dog training for those whose pets need extra attention.
We use the training techniques that are most effective are the ones that let dogs be dogs while also utilizing the bond between pet owners and their canine companions. We also create improvements that are designed to last. If you need a Winnetka dog trainer, contact our team today at 224-407-2131.
About Our Winnetka Dog Training
As a Winnetka dog trainer, Marc Goldberg is available to make sure that your pet behaves the way you want them to for your family and household, while also teaching you the techniques that you can use to train your dog yourself over time. Our training program is not just meant for your dog - it's meant for both of you, so that you're not only helping your dog build better behaviors - you're also aware of how to continue those improvements at home, to create the perfect companion that will be with you for a lifetime.
What You Want:
- Dogs that listen.
- Dogs that respond.
- Dogs that walk on a leash.
- Dogs that stay off the furniture.
- Dogs that are kind to people and animals.
What You Don’t Want
- Dogs that are wild.
- Dogs that are destructive.
- Dogs that do not see you as their equal.
What We Do
Marc quite literally “wrote the book” on dog training, having completed a book about no force, no bribery dog training that has taken over the animal behavior world. He and Patrick are able to offer several programs depending on the behaviors your dog struggles with, and the needs of your family.
The two most popular programs include:
- Pack Leader Program - This program resembles more traditional dog training, focusing on helping your dog overcome some common behaviors and then making sure you're ready to take those improvements home with you.
- Puppy Pack Leader Program - Similar to the Pack Leader Program, but this program is best for puppies that are showing very common puppy behaviors, like nipping. Our Winnetka puppy program is great for new dogs you've brought home.
The goal of dog training is to make sure that your dog AND you are ready for next steps. But we also know that sometimes it helps to have extra help. That's why you may want to consider our boarding school programs, which let you drop your dog off with us for a week or two, and pick up your dog with the behaviors already learned. We have three different options, including:
- 7 Day Boarding School
- 14 Day Boarding School
- 21 Day Boarding School
The length of time you should consider leaving your dog with us is based on what behaviors and challenges need to be addressed. 7 day boarding school programs help with basic behaviors that adapt your dog to the family. The 14 day boarding school program goes into more depth, giving you the perfect, most well behaved household dog by the time the program is completed. Finally, our 21 day boarding school can address more severe behaviors, like anxiety or aggression, that require extra special attention and care.
At the end of all of our boarding school and bootcamp programs, our team trains you so that you can continue to take what we've done and make sure your dog the perfect family companion. All of our programs are great for your dog, and you'll often find that they're fun and interesting as well.
